Hello,
I am excited to begin this journey of blogging! This is new for me, but I hope to be faithful in updating as I begin to walk into this new adventure that God prepared for me. Let me share with you some recent HIGHLIGHTS of my life's journey.
Many of you know that I spent the last two years of my life living in NE Thailand working with TEAM Isaan. It was an amazing, life changing experience that I will forever treasure. I had the opportunity to minister in a local Thai prison, teach medical English at the local hospital, lead short-term m*ssion trips, learn about community development, attend 2 CHE conferences, make many new life long friends, learn to speak Thai, travel through-out SE Asia, adapt to the local culture, and so much more.
In August 2009, I completed my contract with TEAM Isaan and returned to live in Deltona, FL to work as a home health nurse while I spent time praying about my future. In the fall I interviewed to become a full-time International Worker with the C&MA. I was later accepted as an international worker to be sent to the Middle East to work with a new team. The team has set up a NGO and opened a multi-purpose center. My prayer is that God would use my nursing training, education, gifts, and passions to build life changing relationships with those living in my new city.
I am now currently preparing to go! In February I will be going on tour to speak at local fellowships about my future. Then in June I will attend 2 different trainings in CO. Finally at the beginning of August I will board a plane to spend the next 4 years in the Middle East. Plase be praying for me as I prepare to go!
